We thank thee O God for a Prophet...

The breaking news tonight is this: Our sweet prophet and beloved leader, Gordon B. Hinckley, has passed away. It seems unreal to me and I feel a strange emptiness and sadness inside, like I've just lost a grandparent or dear friend. This was a great man. Influential in my life in many ways. He felt like my prophet for my generation. He was the happiest man I ever knew and the sparkle in his eyes made me feel important, loved and capable. Thank you, President Hinckley for the amazing work you did to make us stand a little taller and be a little better. Till we meet again...

The Braun Brouhaha

I am decidedly FOR the word brouhaha.

Some people have expressed extreme dismay at our lack of blogging these days. Alright already! Here we are...back by (sort of) popular demand...ready to make all your wildest dreams come true.

My sister reassured me that I wasn't obligated to make up for the "days of yore" (her beautiful words, not mine), but that I could start anew. Since our lives, in all reality, aren't that exciting, I actually feel a little tied to my yesteryear, for those are the only events we've had. So whether you like it or not...here is our life's review: LeBRAUN 2007 (we'll spare you and only blog the last few months. "If I have to read 'Spooky Brauns' one more time...." yeesh!)

November. unseasonably and beautifully warm in the hometown. FREEZING my biscuits off in the NW:

Loving the trail 90s:Cindi came down from Seattle to do some Charlie's Angel stunts on the bike. Hot.

Seth and a few of the brothers.

Ahhh...the beach. I think I was born to be here. Tillie loves Cannon Beach so we got some cute shots of her with G & G Braun.
My parents made the drive to Oregon with us but spent the week with my dad's sisters. They met us at Cannon Beach where we were nearly eaten by the sea (sneaker waves...get you-and your sneakers-every time). Luckily we weren't dragged out to sea. Sadly, I had to make the long and awkward walk back to the beach house. sand and sea water up to your crotch..WAY chaff-ey.

December. Cold. Vay, vay cold. Christmas came, the goose got fat, no more pennies for the old man's hat. (Because I spent them all on gifts for Tillie. Christmas for a little girl is THE B.E.S.T.!!) Dolls and Princesses galore. I could honestly die!

January. Potty training. Stopped as soon as it started. But the tillster did look DANG cute romping around in her little panties. Perhaps next month will be our month. If not...the next one.
And just a few random pictures. If panties weren't enough, try a push-up bra with a stylish tank. (This outfit was NOT contrived...Tillie specifically asked that I put the bra on her, paired with the tank-top). Next come the high heels and Mr. Potato Head glasses. And last of all, Tills gets nice and cozy with her baby in the doll bed. love it.

Thanks for staying true and faithful. Don't give up on us yet! We'll post more...scout's honor.
